Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth offers Sunrise host Matt Shirvington a role on his next film during Mad Max interview
Sunrise presenter Matt Shervington could be set for a future in Hollywood films.
The beloved breakfast show host was offered a big break on Thursday while interviewing Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga stars Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Olympic runner Shirvo questioned Australian screen man Hemsworth about his athletic abilities.
“Chris, I have to ask you – you used to run track and field, steeplechase. Not many people know this about you. What level did it reach?” asked Shirvo.
“Two state medals, a silver and a bronze,” Hemsworth replied.
Shirvo then chose to shoot his shot with a tongue-in-cheek question about a possible film role.
“Look at this! Is there a movie role coming up for a fast hero like me?” Shirvo asked cheekily.
“You can leave us all in the dust. You can run past cars,” Hemsworth joked in response.
Shirvo and co-host Nat Barr took that as a yes from Hemsworth, joking that Shirvo should take him up on the offer.
“I’m going to go talk to (Mad Max Furiosa director) George (Miller) right away,” Shirvo said.
“I think it was a yes. I don’t know what Chris is working on right now. It could be a Marvel movie or something – very cool.
Shirvo then revealed that he had brought his 17-year-old daughter Sienna to the interview.
“Anya, by the way, she’s a next-level superstar right now in cinema,” Shirvo said.
“She’s just going to get better and better. I had Sienna there and at the end of the interview she said, ‘Hey, let’s take a selfie for Sienna.’ No (I even had to ask).”
Hemsworth and Taylor-Joy are currently promoting Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the fifth installment in the iconic Mad Max film franchise.
It tells the story of the young emperor, Furiosa, played by Taylor-Joy.
Explaining his character Dementus at a recent CCXP convention in Brazil, Hemsworth said he’s “a very violent, crazy, brutal guy who was born out of the wasteland.”
“He was born into a kill-or-be-killed space,” he explained.
“He learned to rule with an iron fist.
“He has charisma and is very manipulative.”
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is in theaters May 23.
